About Me

Sarah Carpenter • LPCMA

she - her - hers

Sarah received her Masters in Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling in Boulder, Colorado. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Sarah moved across the country to follow her dream of working in mental health. Outside the therapeutic realm, you will find Sarah hiking, backpacking with her dog, dancing, practicing yoga, and exploring creative writing.

Sarah is a mindfulness-based psychotherapist, specializing in self-esteem, anxiety, depression, life-transition, trauma, and grief in young adults and adults. Sarah is a neurodiversity affirming therapist, supporting individuals in finding strategies to navigate their world. Her practice is informed by Gestalt, Internal Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Nonviolent Communication, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other empirically-based modalities held in a trauma-informed framework. Sarah emphasizes multicultural mindfulness, openly naming identifiers and exploring how privilege and marginalization may show up in the room.
